TRANSPORTATION INTERMEDIARIES ASSOCIATION
WITH THE TIA 2021 Capital Ideas Conference set to kick-off in less than two weeks, it is important to reflect upon the unprecedented year that was 2020. While there certainly have been struggles for many, the 3PL industry was largely able to survive and, in some cases thrive, under the new reality that is COVID-19.
After having to cancel last year’s conference at the start of the pandemic, it was our sincere hope that we would be able to return to in-person meetings for the 2021 conference, but unfortunately, we are not quite there yet. As the industry’s marquee annual event, we know how much freight brokers rely on the information delivered each year, which is why we are hosting this year’s conference virtually.
In looking back at 2020, I think there is one major lesson everyone has learned: it is imperative to make sure that your business is prepared for the next major disruption, because there will almost certainly be another major disruption in the future. But how do freight brokers prepare their businesses for this new reality? It starts with joining us at the TIA 2021 Capital Ideas Conference, taking place virtually May 11-13.
I am thrilled about the incredible lineup of speakers and sessions we have in store for the conference and think you will be too! Taking place from 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. ET each day, the conference will feature nearly 30 sessions across three days delivering the insights, information, and takeaways needed to navigate the changing tides, and apply them directly to your business operations. With a mix of general sessions, education sessions, and learning labs, attendees will be able to connect with colleagues, peers, and presenters in an engaging and interactive format.
Attendees will also have an opportunity to hear Admiral William H. McRaven, U.S. Navy (Ret.), deliver the Closing Keynote Address. A retired U.S. Navy Four-Star Admiral and former Chancellor of the University of Texas System, ADM. McRaven will discuss his keys to effective leadership and risk management, reflecting on leadership skills honed over his nearly 40 years of military service.
We also have more than 50 industry thought leaders and experts set to present, covering topics including AI, machine learning, leadership, data/cybersecurity, carrier scoring, economic and marketplace updates, dynamic freight movement, RFPs, new TMS advancements, legal and regulatory updates, and more.
As 3PL professionals, you are incredibly busy and have varying levels of availability. As such, we are also excited to be able to offer all attendees one year of on-demand access to all session recordings post-event, ensuring you do not miss any of the incredible content we will be delivering!
I would also be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to thank our incredible partners in developing this incredible event, and without whom TIA would be unable to produce this best-in-class virtual experience. I would like to personally thank DAT, Descartes, Lean Solutions Group, McLeod Software, Roanoke Trade, Transflo, Trimble, TriumphPay, Trucker Tools, and Truckstop.com for their support of and continued commitment to TIA.
If you have not registered to join us May 11-13, I strongly encourage you to do so today and take your seat at the (virtual) table as we come together to learn, share, and grow at the TIA 2021 Capital Ideas Conference.
