TIA 2020 Recap & 2021 Outlook

Neil Humphrey | TIA

TIA’S 2021 MEMBERSHIP Renewal period is still open! On behalf of TIA Staff, we thank you for your continued support of TIA and appreciate your commitment and dedication to the 3PL industry—especially during these unprecedented and uncertain times we find ourselves in as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. We look forward to continuing to serve you in the coming year.

Throughout 2020, we were extremely impressed by our members’ willingness and excitement to participate in online events and opportunities. The TIA 3PL Perspectives magazine has seen a multitude of authors contribute articles and engage with the industry through hardhitting, real-life examples of what is happening to 3PLs and what they can expect in the future. These articles, along with events like November’s 3PLXTEND Virtual Xperience, help our members stay active and up to date on the latest industry trends and developments.

The 3PLXTEND Virtual Xperience featured live sessions, Q&A’s, 15+ Xhibitors, and Idea Xchanges. More than 400 attendees heard from industry thought-leaders, providing insights on the latest technology advancements and how to help sustain the growth of their companies. Collaboration during a digital event can often be complex and rather difficult; however, TIA was able to combat this through the Idea Xchanges. Attendees could submit topics and hold discussions in breakout rooms in between sessions and visits to the virtual Xhibit Hall. In a related event, the TIAPAC hosted a virtual Sip & Support event during 3PLXTEND, providing participants with an opportunity to network, share ideas, and learn to make the perfect Moscow Mule! We would like to thank all of our attendees for their participation in TIA’s first virtual conference.

We would also like to thank our members for their continued support of the TIA Delivers Podcast. Launched in 2019, the podcast has covered insightful topics from economics and commission structures to leadership and sales, expanding TIA Member resources and adding new and relevant content for members each month. In 2020, we also launched the members-only Advocacy Insights Podcast, with TIA’s Chris Burroughs, Vice President of Government Affairs, providing monthly updates on the latest developments from Capitol Hill. Both podcasts from TIA can be found on the TIA website as well as wherever you listen to podcasts, including Soundcloud, Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Google Podcasts and Spotify.

If you or a team member is interested in being featured on an upcoming podcast episode or submitting an article to 3PL Perspectives, please contact us at communications@tianet.org. For magazine and podcast sponsorship opportunities, please contact Alex Hammond at ahammond@naylor.com.

If you have not renewed your membership for 2021, it’s not too late! We are eager to work with you and provide support in maintaining your TIA membership. Please reach out to our membership department at membership@tianet.org or 703.299.5700.
